The long-running World Quarterpipe Championships made its way to Mammoth Mountain for the second year in a row - featuring some of the best transition riders from across the globe. Signal Team riders Yuki Kadono, Lenny Mazzoti, Kolman Lecroy & Jeff Kramer pulled up to soak it all in. No pressure, perfect conditions & a fair share of airtime.
Signal co-founder Marc Wierenga was on site to snap a few pics.
Yuki put down a hefty bag of tricks. Tweaked grabs, big rotations & stylish plants - all while hiking for the entire duration. Someone at their Wheaties...
Lenny Mazzotti has been spending a lot of time at Mammoth Mountain this spring/summer. There's really nothing better than slushy quarter pipe sessions.
Big Bear local & park builder Kolman Lecroy boosting out of the 30' ft. quarter. He's got a sweet method - also a plethora of switch tricks. Outside the nose goes.
Yuki proving that you don't need a massive tail to land switch on massive Back Seven's in a quarterpipe. Yup.
Big ol' tweaked tailgrab. Must be nice up there.
At the end of the day, Yuki took home 1st for his efforts - stoking up the crowd, landing massive tricks & hiking his butt off. All with a smile - Yuki style.
